His slash line is definitely not going to be as good as .318/.406/.488 - particularly in the slugging department. But if he is as good as Nori Aoki (.287/.353/.386) with plus defense, he'll be a bargain. Every straight-to-big-league international signing is a risk but it seems so often that it works out.
